Yaskawa - Solectria Solar, a U. S. commercial PHOTOVOLTAIC inverter manufacturer,
announced today that its PVI 28TL and PVI 36TL inverters have been
deployed in two solar systems in Vermont that are the first to be held
by town and small town utilities. The Nebraska Vly and Waterhouse Solar
Facilities total 2. 7MW.
Stowe Electric Department and Hyde Park Electric Department correspondingly
own their assets downright at project commissioning at a cost per kilo watt hour
generated that is below market rates to buy Electrical power Agreements
(PPAs) for in the same way sized third-party owned tasks. Each utility
secured loans under the U. H. Treasury Department's Clean Green
Energy Bonds (CREBs) program and benefited by cost savings associated
with growing and constructing the two projects concurrently.
Vermont-based Encore Alternative energy worked with both municipal
utilities to develop the projects. Namast? Solar power, a longtime customer of
Yaskawa - Solectria Solar power, was selected to provide engineering,
procurement, and building for both projects. They will have relied on
Yaskawa's inverters for over 15 years.
